Repairy provides repair-shop management software to independent repair businesses (each, a “shop”). This policy explains what information Repairy and the shops using Repairy collect, how it is used, and the choices you have — including how text (SMS) messaging works.
When you bring a device to a shop that uses Repairy, the shop records the information needed to service the repair: your name, contact details (phone number and/or email), the device and the reported problem, and the history of the repair (status changes, parts, invoices, and payments). If you contact the shop by text or email, those messages are stored with your record so the shop can respond and keep a service history.
Information is used to service and complete your repair, to send you service notifications you have agreed to receive (see §4), to take and record payment, and to keep the shop’s records. Repairy does not sell your personal information.
A shop using Repairy may send you text messages about your repair — for example, “your device is ready to collect”, appointment and pickup reminders, and replies to questions you ask by text. You provide your mobile number and agree to receive these texts in person when you drop off a device or otherwise engage the shop’s services; consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase.
We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the shop’s service messages and is shared solely with the messaging providers that carry those messages on the shop’s behalf.
Message frequency varies — you generally receive messages only as your repair progresses (typically a few per repair). Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message; reply HELP for help. After you reply STOP, the shop will not send you further texts except to confirm your opt-out.
We share information only as needed to run the service: with the shop that is servicing your repair, and with service providers acting on the shop’s behalf (such as SMS and email delivery, and payment processing). As stated in §4, mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared for third-party marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
A shop keeps your repair records for as long as needed to provide service and meet its legal and accounting obligations. You may ask the shop that serviced your repair to access, correct, or delete your information.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the shop that serviced your repair, or to Repairy at privacy@repairy.ai.
